Lithium
Lightweight Nintendo Switch Title Installer. Works with 7.X.

Lithium: Lightweight Easy to Use Title Installer for 7.X (2)

Nintendo Switch homebrew title installer, for the single purpose of installing titles

  • If you are looking for Goldleaf, this is Goldleaf's safer and way more extended evolution.

If you are a current Goldleaf user, you need Lithium!

Installation
Unzip files to your root SD card, then run lithium.nro through homebrew launcher.

Use
Just browse to y our NSP files, and click A on them to install.

If you get an error about signature verification, the file has been modified and could potentially be dangerous, so to protect your switch the installation has been blocked. If you wish to override this and install anyway, enable "install unsigned code" in the install options. The password is U U D D L R L R B A +.

Adding Network Locations
Go to the "File Browser", press X to create new, select "FTP", "HTTP", or "NUT" protocol, fill in the required information, then press X to save. Then you can browse to files and install from the network.

Other
This is a simple version of the more advanced Tinfoil: https://github.com/digableinc/tinfoil . If you are an advanced user, you may enjoy Tinfoil's extra features more.

What’s missing from lithium that’s present in your Tinfoil?

Thanks!

I don't know, how is goldleaf safer than Tinfoil?

Actually that is not true, this actually is safer than goldleaf because it wont install unsigned code accidentally and brick you.

Thanks! Does it requires the keys.txt? Does the title id must be in the nsp name or it's not required?

And... another homebrew to confuse the scene even more, now with 3 installers made by you.
Jesus, I just have a question.

Why?

Lithium is just stripped down Tinfoil, that does not require keys.txt, that is easier for non-technical users.

Perhaps you should add a feature that lets people install unsigned code if they really wanted to? I know

ReSwitched and their ilk

the scene as a whole says homebrew nsps are stupid and ban-baity but some people don't want to have to dick around with title replacement and just install emulators and stuff to their home menu.

Jesus, I just have a question.

Why?

It is stripped down Tinfoil for users who do not want, or are confused by more advanced options. It is just simple and easy to use.

it does, they must enable "Install Unsigned Code". But if a user does that, they know what they are getting into. Can only help people so much if they are intent on bricking.

It does not require keys.txt and the NSP files can be named anything you want, no [titleid] required. It is a more simple title installer, like the original Tinfoil.

Well yes, but actually, no. Why should i believe closed source software is safer than opened source. If there's an issue with an open sourced software perhaps you can add a suggestion for them to add to a git commit

Just a suggestion.

Honest question: would not have been easier to just add those features to "DZ"

To anyone considering using this, I wouldn't bother believing any of this guy's claims until it becomes open source. Things like it being "safer" are unverifiable and if you consider the reasons why this was released and why this was released now, are likely false. Or at least an extreme exaggeration. Of course, this is my speculation, but it would not be speculation if this guy allowed for anyone to research into this more than what he told us. I'm sure this is a perfectly capable title installer but for anyone else, you're likely best of with the familiarity and user base of Goldleaf, and it's really not worth the effort dragging this onto your SD card to switch to it

because this a lightweight installer, without the other stuff included in tinfoil/sxinstaller... for those just want to browse sd/usb/network and install nsp

Why?

And why not? More the merrier for the user I say! maybe he’s not looking at his projects entirely from a devs perspective.

No, the entire premise of Tinfoil is that it indexes all of the NSP's and has a title metadata database, which slows down boot and has a lot of advanced options that many users simply do not want. This trims it down to a bare bones title installer, like the original Tinfoil.

considering goldlead takes like a minute to load for me, and this is instant, ill stick with this for now until goldleaf issues are fixed
